Goals and Objectives of Our Program
The main objectives of Verde Valley Montessori is to provide a stimulating environment and a nurturing relationship which assists students in developing independence, responsibility, initiative, self discipline and a strong self-esteem there by, encouraging creative thinking, fostering a love of learning, and an appreciation of the diversity of the human spirit.

Dr. Maria Montessori, an Italian physician, observed that children possess an intrinsic need to explore and learn about the world and a natural propensity to absorb the knowledge and information provided them. Based on a philosophy of deep respect for the individual child, Montessori education rewards learning, promotes high self-esteem and self-confidence, inner discipline, independence and a strong sense of community and personal responsibility. A Montessori classroom environment is specifically designed for a specific mixed-age group. The child has access to a variety of materials, equipment, activities and furniture appropriate to his/her age, interest and ability. Central to the environment is the trained teacher, who assists the child in the unfolding of his/her individual personality
