Aloma Elementary School Preschool

Aloma Elementary School was established in 1967 and is located in northeast Orange County. Our attendance zone extends east from the Winter Park Pines area across Semoran Boulevard along the south side of University Boulevard to Econlockhatchee Trail. In 2006 approximately sixty percent of our students rode buses to and from school because major intersections in the surrounding area were declared hazardous. In May 2007 representatives of various local governments and the school board conducted a review of the Hazardous Walking Conditions Report. It was determined by these representatives that the conditions that allowed these walkways to be declared hazardous were corrected with the completion of the Cady Way Trail. Parents of students living in apartments on Aloma Avenue and Semoran Boulevard were notified that bus transportation was discontinued for students who were served at those bus stops.
