IN ADDITION RECOMMENDATION FOR JULIANA'S WRITING SKILLS: I started working out with Juliana to help tutor me in Photoshop. I really liked working with Juliana because she was incredibly down to earth, friendly, well-prepared and did more preparation for our sessions than I believe most or any tutor would normally do. She does her homework. She made a point to go out of the way to tailor each session to my specific needs and my goals while teaching me writing skills. In fact, she created a goal list with me and it was indeed, very helpful. Most recently, I asked Juliana to help me prepare my six year old daughter's application to enter into a prestigious private school in NYC. Through my time spent with Juliana, I learned that she also tutors academic writing and is the author of two photographic books which include her own personal non fiction writing and short stories. She gave me a link to an article that recently featured her writing and her photographs on a well-known art site and I was amazed that she was not only a talented photographer and photo software technician, but that she had the ability to write clearly and succinctly and with great efficiency. She began by teaching me simple prewriting skills and got me started on writing several short pieces for my daughter's application. She really was sensitive to my anxiety about creating a well-written application for my daughter and we went through several rough drafts until, we were both satisfied with what I believe was a successfully written school application. And I actually felt like I had learned something in the process. I highly recommend Juliana as a writer for high school level writers, college students, and anyone else who needs help in improving their writing. She will definitely give you good ideas, get you past your fear or writer's block, and help edit your writing until it really shines. She makes a point to help students improve and personalize their own writing style without imposing her own style upon as a teacher. She gives thoughtful guidance and will help you feel like a more confident and successful writer. I plan to use her in the future for other writer project as I am applying for a master's program this coming year. I highly recommend her.
