Credentialed Teacher/UC Berkeley Grad Specializing in English and Math

I love teaching, and I am passionate about education. But this was not always the case. I can certainly understand anyone who is struggling in any subject. I am a lifelong learner myself.

I graduated on the honors list from UC Berkeley with a bachelor’s degree in English in 2000. After working for several years in a variety of positions in the corporate world, I decided that I wanted to return to school to become a teacher. In order to gain experience in this field, I began working as an En…

Sandy W. from Torrance, CA Clint has been a big help to me in bringing up my algebra grade. He is patient, knowledgeable, and makes time in his schedule anytime I have questions or need to add an extra session before a test. I am more than happy with the help I have received from Clint. His support has made this semester much less stressful!

Nasim G. from Rancho Palos Verdes, CA My son failed algebra so he had to retake it during the summer. I could not take a chance in him failing the class again so I had him work with Clint. At first, my son was reluctant to work with a tutor; however, Clint was somehow able to connect with him and I did not have any problems with convincing him to work with Clint again. We just finished the first summer semester and my son received an A in the class. He got a 102 out of a 100 on his final exam. We could not have done with without Clint?s help. Thank you Clint!

Daren B. from Santa Monica, CA Clint was very helpful and understanding with regards to helping me formulate, write, and cite my paper. Whatever I needed help on or asked him to do, he was more then willing to help out the best he could. Clint is a great advocate to have on your side and he went above and beyond in trying to help me formulate and polish my paper, ESPECIALLY when it came to citations, which I am terrible at. I really appreciate his hard work and just know that if you decide to work with Clint, he will try his utmost best to help you in any way he can to get you prepared and/or get the assignment done.

Jill P. from Rancho Palos Verdes, CA My 8-year-old son has very messy writing normally. We parents, several teachers and relatives have warned him to write more carefully, but he resisted. Clint and he met once a week over the summer to improve this messy writing. Each week my son practiced writing a few letters on wipe off cards and then wrote a draft of a journal entry. The following week he wrote the final draft into a journal and now at the end of the summer we have a great keepsake (in VERY legible writing) of how he spent his summer. Not only did Clint help him focus on proper printing, but he taught him the importance of using adjectives and writing details that help the reader to share the experience better. He asked "How did it feel?" "What did you hear?" "What did it taste like?" As a journalist myself, I am extremely pleased that he helped my son see the importance of good writing in terms of aesthetics and content.
