I base my decision on past connection with a WyzAnt tutor that was very knowledgeable and professional, resulting in a clearly resolved problem. I wanted to back out of my meeting with Sheryl after only 20-25 minutes when it was clear to me that she really didn't have a good handle on solving my problem. There was a lot of confusion on my part and also her lack of knowledge of the Word program. It was ultimately solved in towards the end of the session, but I would not use her services in the future and wouldn't recommend anyone I know to her services. I take pride in being a professional guy, and becoming a financial advisor with AMEX without a college degree! I had to know my business or wouldn't be able to make a living. Also, she should not compare being a tutor with going to a Geek technician to solve my problem.

Sheryl is friendly, patient, and knowledgeable, which makes every session with her a great learning experience as well as fun and enjoyable. I really appreciate the way that Sheryl never just gives me an answer but rather guides me so that I am able to find the answer myself. She is also very knowledgeable in a variety of fields. I really admire her honesty and joy for learning, if she does not know an answer to my question we will look it up together, and learn together. This also shows me the best ways that I can go about looking up a question for myself in the future. Furthermore, Sheryl's teaching styles is an all encompassing one. This is shown by the fact that I began studying with her to study Hebrew for an entrance exam. However, we have not just studied Hebrew, she also has offered me test taking skills as well as tips for reducing anxiety. This is all in addition to studying Hebrew grammar, comprehension, and annunciation. I look forward to continuing to learn with Sheryl!

Sheryl goes above and beyond to make sure that I understand exactly what we're doing, and I love how she uses visual techniques to make each lesson clear. At first, I was a bit hesitant to do lessons over Skype, but what makes it so great is that Skype has been updated! I can not only screen shot images during our lessons that we do (like looking at a white board), but there is a new feature with Skype where I can also view her computer screen so we can be on the same page. This is really helpful for visiting websites, viewing translations and other useful material on the net together. Sheryl is a great teacher, and I'm very grateful to WyzAnt to have found her!
