Experienced Nursing Tutor

I am a Registered Nurse with a BSN, as well as a BA in English Literature. My experience is centered on tutoring BSN coursework, HESI, and NCLEX prep. In addition, I am available to work with students on test-taking strategy, study skills, resume writing, and interview/job search skills.

Succeeding in nursing involves developing an understanding of the subject matter, as well as an ability to think critically. My goal is to work with students to find the method that best enhances their le…

Diane B. from Philadelphia, PA I have been working with Kate, since August. I have experienced some difficulty in mathematics however, since working with Kate I have become more confident in my ability to achieve the mathematics needed in my educational career. I have been working diligently to prepare for medical math examination. I have come very close to passing achieving an 85% on my first try and an 88% on my second try. My benchmark score required is 90%. I feel when you work with a tutor what you should look for is your ability and progress learning material which previously you did not completely understand. I am confident I will achieve an A however the purpose of my tutoring has been reward already. I have a strong foundation to overcome this challenge. Thanks Kate

Alex C. from Medford, NJ From the minute I started working with Kate, I felt like she could help me in successfully passing the NCLEX-RN. The tutoring sessions really make me think on a different level. Kate is really knowledgeable and a great tutor. She challenges me and makes me understand the content from a cellular level and provides relevant examples. She is a good educator and supports without rescuing. My confidence has been elevated and I look forward to working through the sessions and passing the exam.

Kara H. from Bensalem, PA I used Kate to help with NCLEX preparation. I had taken the test twice and was not successful. A friend recommended Kate and I passed my exam in 120 questions. She is very patient and kind and only has the students best interest at heart. Students need to be patient and understand that studying can be daunting and the amount of work you put in will result in success if you listen to Kate. Her strategies and knowledge will help students achieve success!

Ericka P. from Cherry Hill, NJ I wanted a tutor to help me with my last semester of nursing school and help with NCLEX prep. I had two sessions with Kate and they were awesome. She helped me think about the different body systems and their implications with diseases instead of just memorizing the right answers. Kate was punctual and very professional. She recommended a NCLEX book for my boards. She was just what I needed. The only problem I had is that Kate was hard to pin down for appointments and did not communicate with me in a timely manner. After our second session, she told me she was going to be away on two separate occasions and I forgot to write down the dates. I take responsibility for that. Our last session was cut in half because of a personal emergency on March 22nd. That was our last session. I tried texting her on March 25th and April 3rd several times and emailing her on this website. I received no response I haven't heard from her in over a month and a half. Kate promised to get me some notes and other materials that never materialized. She works full time and tutors several people. I think she bit off more than she could handle. The two sessions we had, she helped me think differently I only wish that we could have continued. My only advice to you is if you want to go with Kate, pin down dates and times in advance for more than one session. Good luck.
