I am have been teaching high school English literature, writing, creative writing, and test prep for over two decades. While I plan to remain an educator
in various ways, such as through this tutoring opportunity, I am venturing out of the classroom at the end of the school year to pursue my dream of becoming a professional writer.
In the time I spent in the classroom, I was always “the favorite” teacher on campus. My willingness to get to know each student individually and learn about their interests and personalities coupled with my crazy sense of humor make my lessons not only educational but enjoyable.
My guarantee to you is that I will learn your individual learning style and modify my lessons so that you are able to learn the content presented, Not only will you learn the information long enough to complete the necessary assignments or take the appropriate exams, you will actually RETAIN the things I teach you. I also promise to you that I will do everything in my power to give you the skills needed to become a confident, independent learner who will only be in need of my services for a short time. I will give you the skills necessary to be able to spread your wings and fly on your own as you continue your educational journey.
