I am a music teacher with over 20 years of performance and competition experience. I have received a Bachelor of Music from Furman University in Piano Performance and a Master of Arts from the Jacobs School of Music in Music History and Theory. I started piano lessons when I was just four years old, but I loved it from the start and have never stopped playing. I competed and performed professionally from an early age, both in the US and abroad. My training is in the Russian classical tradition, with a heavy emphasis on correct technique, accurate playing, and musicality. I have also trained in Rag and Jazz piano playing.
I currently teach private In-Home piano and music theory lessons. I also manage after-school music clubs at several public schools in the Orlando area. I teach students of all ages, from 4 year old beginners to adult students. Young beginners usually start learning music through games and puzzles that train motor skills and hand-eye coordination, while older students start by learning songs they have heard before.
I work with over 50 students privately every week, ensuring they receive only the highest quality music training. I love teaching privately because it allows me to tailor lesson plans to suit the specific needs of each student. Students can expect to improve week to week in their piano technique while learning about music theory and gain an overall appreciation for music.
While my specialty is classical piano music, I equally enjoy teaching jazz and popular music. Regardless of what style a student wants to learn, each of my students receives solid training in technique and theory so that they can have the confidence to play whatever music they want to learn.
