I grew up watching my mom tutor math and language arts and hearing her talk about how much she enjoyed helping others learn and also helping them love to learn. At Stanford, I was able to experience that for myself as I tutored middle and high school students in math and science. Now that I have my own children, five total from 12 down to 2, I’ve really enjoyed helping them learn and master concepts that they think at first that they just can’t get.
