My tutoring experience reigns from my involvement in the Vanderbilt Student Volunteers for Science (VSVS). As a member of VSVS, I volunteered in teaching middle school students robotics. The experience I gained from teaching those students allowed me to hone my skills in effective lesson planning and communication. Teaching a perplexing topic such as robotics calls for the use of concepts and analogies that my students can grasp, and VSVS has taught me to do that effectively.
