Hello!
I am a current middle school ELA teacher looking to find a summer job. I have two years of paid teaching under my belt, and four years of clinical training working with children. I have worked in both an academic classroom setting, as well as a summer camp enrichment setting. My experience includes children from 1st grade all the way up to seniors in high school. I mostly work with kids between the ages of 6-14, but can certainly do younger or older!

I have worked with children for my entire professional career and have been babysitting on the side for the last 8 years. As a bonus, I am also a certified English Language Arts tutor for ages K-12!

I truly love working with children, as I believe I still have a lot of childlike energy myself. I enjoy being kept on my toes and learning from little ones. I can truthfully say that I would chose to work with children over adults any day. Children have a sense of adventure and joy that I would like to continue to foster in my adult life. Not only do I enjoy teaching children academically, but also socially, emotionally, and developmentally.

I love being outdoors, going on walks, reading in the park, listening to music, and going on drives to find local hole-in-the-wall cafes. In my free time you will typically find me painting for fun, clay modeling, journalling, or attempting to cooking a new recipe I saw online. I enjoy nature, animals of all kind, but dogs are my absolute favorite because they love to play!

I truly think I have a way of connecting with children of all ages, which is why I’d like to spend my summer teaching, playing, and making new connections.

Rate: $25/hour – $35/hour
