Hello! I’m Ana, a very cheerful 23 year old. I have 7 years of payed babysitting experience, which all started with my little brother 9 years ago. Due to my mothers mental state, I had to take care of him from the age of 14 until I was 16 (with my fathers guidance). With school and summer jobs, I still enjoyed every second I spent with my brother. I liked other kids too, so I decided to try it out. It turned out that I love other kids a lot more than I expected to, and now It’s impossible for me to find any other job as fulfilling as babysitting. Helping out parents with unorganized toys, jumping in to help when they have a last minute plan, doing arts and crafts, and similar things have shown me how much happier I can be helping another family develop. It’s those little things that add up and make me feel as if I somewhat made a difference. I truly love spending time with kids and try to ease their transition into growing up by putting myself down to their level. I try to understand every tantrum, every cry, every declining of food through methods that I first learnt from my own brother. He had some development issues because of my moms rough pregnancy, so seeing how he was able to grow from all of his delays has made me a big advocate on children’s mental health and how to help them cope with it to prevent any development delays. I am here to be a friend to your children, not a third parent. As a friend of your child I will still keep them in check regarding day to day tasks, but will give them the time and patience needed for them to fulfill those tasks. Regarding “fun time”, I’m genuinely a very cheerful person. Meaning that I’m usually full of smiles, but I dislike when I have to describe myself like this because it feels insincere. I would love for you to be the judges of my character and gleefulness, throughout an interview on any platform or in person. You will be the best judge of my character corresponding with what kind of person your famly needs, not the words I wrote here. Regarding parenting methods, from how the baby/kid to sleep to what they should eat, I have done a fair amount of research and have worked with plenty of families to have my own idea of what is “right”, but I do not stick with it. Every family has their own wishes on how their children are to be raised, so I will not be using any of my personal methods (only the parents methods) unless asked otherwise.
