Hello! My name is Joe Scott, Im a third-year student studying Environmental Studies at The New School. My experience caring for kids from toddler to teen begins with helping my younger sister when she was young, and eventually babysitting around my neighborhood in Middle and High School. Eventually I was able to use the skills Id learned as Camp Counselor at a sleep away camp in Vermont. I worked there for 3 summers and 1 training summer leading music, arts, nature, athletics, and aquatics programs. I am skilled in outdoor education, guitar and music, and worked as a lifeguard and occasional assistant nurse for 2 of my 3 summers there. I am very fortunate to have been able to meet many great children during that time, and to have learned how to create a safe, fun, and comfortable environment for children to learn and grow in.
