My name is Sheryl and I am a life-long caregiver and mother of five children. My career has been and continues to be fostering independent, confident, children who learn resilience through a hands-on, interactive approach.

The opportunity to watch a child reach new milestones in each stage of their development is both humbling and exciting. I am passionate about nurturing a childs natural curiosity through imaginative play, music, art and movement. Children grow and develop when exploring and experimenting with the world around them. I encourage children to jump in the puddles, go down the slide, kick the ball, watch the cars and dance to the music!

My priority is always to maintain a safe, warm and loving environment. I pride myself in my patience and kindness when creating comfortable spaces for a child. For example, I spent time with a toddler who was scared of loud everyday noises. Through different communication techniques, an introduction to various coping strategies, and consistent exposure in a controlled environment, I succeeded in helping the child overcome her fears.

I enjoy what I do, I take pride in spending time with the future generations, they are precious little sponges ready to explore their environment. I think it is the most important responsibility and I feel lucky to be able to do what I love and spend time with growing minds.
