Hi! My name is Ivanna and I am 22 years old and I am ISO 20-25 hours per week in a childcare and/house manager position.

I have been a caregiver for 8 years. At 14 years old I was merely a neighborhood babysitter. I quickly learned how much I adore working with children and began running summer camps with my parents. We created a sports camp in Wisconsin where I was a swim coach and a counselor, and we joined another camp in New York where I gained more counselor experience.

I have experience with children infant – 13y/o, multiples and pets.

In addition, I taught for 3 years at Little Royal Preschool where I worked with 3-4 year olds to get them ready for Kindergarten. We focused on pre-literacy, pre-math, and early problem-solving skills with an emphasis on positive reinforcement and self motivation. I feel it is important to foster the value of personal success in children so that they may develop a necessary intrinsic motivation. The techniques I practiced in my time as a preschool teacher are useful in my daily interactions with children. Solving interpersonal conflicts, employing positive self-talk to overcome challenges, or even just understanding that children sometimes just have the wiggles and need to be active, these are all situations I am comfortable and familiar with.

A little about me: I love to sing and dance! I am energetic, fun, and spontaneous! I also love to bike, swim, and hike. I am always game for a fun craft or imaginative play (Barbies, dinosaurs or Barbies riding on dinosaurs, anything you name it!). I love being outside and exploring the world around me. I truly just adore children, they teach me so much and I believe each child I work with adds a special twinkle in my heart and makes me a better, happier person!
