Hi there! My name is Elizabeth and from a very young age, I’ve always loved children. Around 17 years old, I began babysitting for a family friend who had two boys (an infant and a toddler). I did that for a year until I left for college and would babysit when I returned home in the summer time. After college, I babysat the daughter of my mentor for several years starting from late infancy. She is now 11 and it’s been rewarding to know that I was a part of her life in such an impactful way. A part from babysitting, I spent a lot of time volunteering with children, especially in the art and education/literacy spaces and have spent two years as a Reading Tutor with the Brooklyn based non-profit, READ 718.

Fast forward to today, I have recently left my corporate job and am now a certified children’s and adult yoga instructor. I currently teach via a non-profit that brings yoga into the elementary and middle schools within Newark, New Jersey and it truly is a rewarding experience. I have a great passion for children’s wellbeing and enjoy nurturing their creativity and curiosity. As a bonus, my Storytime skills are truly out of this world. Broadway production!
