Im Kaylyn and I personally love working with children because seeing them develop and grow is something that I truly do believe is amazing and they bring every bit of joy out of me. Every child isn’t the same but that’s the best part about working with them. Being able to share my knowledge with each child while creating new bonds, learning from and about them, experiencing every day life with them, making a positive impact in their lives, are just some of the reasons why I love working with children. During my time in high school I first got the opportunity to work as an assistant teacher with preschoolers for a couple of months until I graduated. I had a background check and was fingerprinted by IdentoGo. Although I was not required to get CPR certified I am willing to get whatever certifications needed. After that position one of the parents of the students I was working with recognized my work and I started picking her daughter up from school, taking her to get something to eat, dropping her off at the moms job, and going to their house to take care of the daughter for hours when her mom needed me. This included many things, e.g., light housekeeping, doing laundry, cooking light meals, taking the kids to do activities, picking kids up from school with public transportation or on feet. I have been watching my own younger siblings since I was younger, but I also have paid experience working for a multiple families around the Bronx and Manhattan. My character, values, and the traits that I possess are the tings that I believe set me apart from others. There may be others that have more experience than me however, I am someone who is trustworthy, reliable, consistent, patient, understanding, responsible, loving, attentive and more. I’m a person who knows how to communicate, I’m dedicated to doing my job, I always have positive energy, and overall I’m the person that won’t let you down. Going to school wanting a career working to help children and then being able to physically work with children, has made me realize the love that I have when it comes to helping people of all ages. In addition to this, Im someone who is comfortable with pets, loves to be energetic and engage with children when it comes to any extracurricular activity. I just love to show the kids a good time while putting their care and safety as my number one priority. Ultimately, being a caregiver is a job that I love and I hope I can continue to make a great impact in peoples lives.
