My name is Desiree and I have been a lead teacher in preschool classrooms for 8 years now and have been working with children for over 20 years. In that time, I established trusting relationships with families and their children through strong communication and compassionate attentiveness. I feel that loving what one does is key in doing a job efficiently, and I love working with children and engaging them in various activities that foster their interest in learning and exploring the world around them, letting the children take the lead in their discoveries! I also believe that while creating a fun environment is key, creating a safe environment is absolutely essential, therefore I always put the safety of the children first!I have a deep understanding of the individual needs of children and am highly skilled in adapting to the needs of each child socially and emotionally.As a preschool classroom teacher, I have held the responsibility of knowing about the important dietary and other health related needs of the children in my care and ensuring safety and wellness in that regard.
