Hi, my name is Destiny and I am 19 years old! The first family I babysat for was my neighbors when I was 17. The parents both worked in the afternoon and had a 2 year old boy that needed to be taken cared of from the afternoon until night when they came back. I offered to take care of him since I would get out of school at 2pm and had no extracurricular activities. I ended up babysitting him every Wednesday-Friday and we would have a blast. I would cook for him, help with potty training, play, go to the park, read and teach new things, and if I wouldn’t have school, we would go to museums or somewhere fun for him. I also have 2 nieces who are now 6 and 7 years old. When I was younger and they were babies, I would only be able to keep them entertained but once I got older, I was able to pick them up from school, take them to their after school activities, help them with homework, and have them fed and happy by the time their parents came back from either work or date nights. They have also recently had my 3 month old nephew that I adore. I help take care of him when they want to take their daughters to a fun place that might not be suitable for a baby or when my sister-in-law is busy and my brother is in a business meeting.
