I have always stressed the importance of children having the freedom and room to be children. It is so imperative that we allow loving, supportive spaces and people around our children as they grow up. I am the eldest of three and had been a sort of protective guardian to my younger siblings, in order to preserve their space to be children. I exercise the same values in my approach to caregiving. Children will always be safe and safe to be themselves in my care!
