I am an exuberant lover of theatre and a child at heart who tries to unlock the imagination of kids from the perspective of a teacher. I am a native New Yorker currently completing my social work degree. I worked and lived as an au pair for two years with a family in Switzerland where I cared for two boys (4 and 7 when I first arrived). I nannied for a family with a 5 and 7 year old in Harlem for 1 year before transitioning to nonprofit work.

My philosopy for babysitting is very hands-on. I don’t believe in distracting children with television or video games – I work to engage them through play or conversation. I try to ask questions, questions, questions. I also believe in involving kids in practical activities like basic cooking, homework and neatening up his/her personal space – this builds discipline and independence.
