Hi there!

My name is Ingrid, I am 29 years old. I work in the arts and I am based in New York. I graduated from Barnard in 2016, and have 15 years of experience babysitting children. Growing in a large family with three siblings and many cousins, I could say my babysitting experience began as early as 8 when my little brother was born. I have always been fond of children and and have worked as an au pair one summer for 4 children ages 10 months – 8 years old, as a camp counselor, and have babysat children with disabilities. I am fluent in English and French, with some proficiency in Spanish and Norwegian. I value the importance of creating a safe, creative and supportive space for the children I care for. From my experience working with children I believe it is important for routine, healthy communication, positive encouragement, and patience. Some fun facts about me – I am an avid reader, I play the violin, I love to knit, and if I’m not at home or working you will always find me at museums and art galleries.
