I have been working with children on and off for the past 15 years. I have experience as a preschool support teacher, nanny, babysitter, and camp counselor. I am mostly interested in working with infants and toddlers, as I find infant development fascinating and rewarding to watch and contribute to. From November 2021-August 2023, I worked as a part time nanny for two different families with infants. One was from ages 4-12 month, and the other was from ages 6-15 months. As a nanny, I took 1-2 walks per day to playgrounds or parks, facilitated naps, entertained and introduced new toys and activities, introduced solids as instructed, prepared meals as needed, kept babys room and toys organized, and did babys laundry. I also kept a log of all daily activities, including diaper changes, naps, milk, and solids eaten. As a preschool support teacher in Portland, I mostly assisted in the infant room, taking care of 8 babies (4 per teacher) between the ages of 4-12 months. I am well-versed in RIE, Reggio, and Montessori philosophies, and I am always respectful of how someone chooses to care for their infant. I look forward to working with you!
