Becoming a caregiver was a natural extension of my diverse interests and experiences. From my role as a medical interpreter, I learned the importance of compassion and effective communication, skills that are invaluable when caring for children. My love for art, STEM, and dance allows me to engage with kids in creative and educational ways, making their time with me both fun and enriching.

My journey as a caregiver began with my goddaughter, whom I’ve cared for since infancy. Watching her grow and develop over the years has been incredibly rewarding. I’ve also had the privilege of looking after her step-siblings, who are eight years older, due to their busy lawyer parents.

Babysitting in Long Island may not be as frequent now, but my experiences have equipped me to handle children at various stages of development. I’m continuously inspired by the resilience and wonder of children, observing how their environments shape them and how they navigate their intense emotions. This inspiration and insight enhances my writing and helps me continue to write with wonder for both children and adults.
