Hello! My name is Polina, and I’m currently a college student in Manhattan! I love working with kids and I have a lot of experience— I’ve been babysitting since I was 13 years old, and I’ve worked as an assistant kindergarten teacher, an after-school teacher, a tutor, a camp councilor, and a full-time nanny in the past. I’ve worked with kids of all age groups, and I find working with each age group to be really special and rewarding in it’s own way!
I study illustration and anthropology, and I love making art and crafting/creating in any way. I also love nature and being outside (I have a HUGE collection of plants), traveling, and getting to know and connect with new people!
When working with kids, I always get to know each kid individually and how I can best work with and interact with them. I love to engage in their interests and hobbies, and encourage them to try new things and be creative. I find it really rewarding to know that I’ve been able to help a child grow or provide a supportive and empowering presence in their life. As a part of the LGBTQ+ community myself, I love working with kids and families that are also a part of the community.
