Hello there! My name is Alexa and I have been babysitting and nannying for more than eight years. I have experience with kids of all different ages, from 3 months old to as old as fourteen years old. Some of my favorite families I’ve worked with included babysitting 3 month old twins whenever their mom was at work (usually at least once a week) and nannying for three young boys for a full summer. I am incredibly outgoing and really enjoy teaching kids and bringing them out of their comfort zone. I was a Girl Scout for twelve years and love the outdoors and going on adventures. I also have a great deal of writing experience, including publishing my own book and leading many writing programs for kids. When babysitting and nannying, I like to encourage non-technology based activities, especially cooking, crafts, and board games. If we are going to do something with technology, I try to make it a fun, group activity — one of my most popular activities with kids is movie night with homemade pizza! What I love most about being a sitter is helping kids explore the world and build their confidence. I hope to be the type of childcare provider that kids have a fond memory of when they’re older and who the parents trust and know well. I am currently a junior at Bryn Mawr College and am looking forward to nannying for the summer and having the opportunity to lead new adventures with any kids under my care :)
