My name is Sophie, I’m twenty-one and I’m originally from Poughkeepsie, New York. Currently, I’m living in Bryn Mawr, PA, and attending Haverford College studying Early Childhood Education. I have had previous experience in teaching and I love helping children to experience the joy of learning. Most recently, I worked for about a year at a daycare. I was a teaching assistant in the Pre-K classroom, which is ages 4-5 with a focus on Kindergarten preparedness, and beginning to read and write. However, I also spent time in our infant and toddler rooms and am familiar with those age groups as well. Before this job, I worked at a sleepaway summer camp for middle and high school girls, where I was the teaching assistant in the art class. Although I am studying early childhood, I enjoy working with older kids as well and every age offers something new and interesting. I enjoy babysitting because I can really get to know a kid and make them feel special and important. I look forward to getting to know your family and offering my services in any way I can.
