Hi im Makiyah, a recent college graduate in B.A in Communications. I’m a Nanny/Babysitter with a passion for making a positive difference in the lives of children and supporting families. With 8 years of experience, I’m known for my patience, calm demeanor, and creative imagination. I’m comfortable caring for up to two children and have experience working with kids of all ages. I’m also happy to help with cooking, light housekeeping, and travel.
I believe in open communication with parents and regularly provide updates about their child’s day, either verbally at pickup or via text or phone call, depending on their preference. I have First Aid and CPR training, and experience working with special needs children. When it comes to enforcing household rules, I’m very comfortable doing so in a consistent and fair manner.
In terms of activities, I love playing a variety of games with children, including outdoor sports and physical games, board games and puzzles, and educational games that promote learning.
