Hi! I’m Alicia, a 34 year old adult student. I am currently a senior at NEIU in the biology department with a minor in mathematics. I’m able to help out over the weekends but between May and my internship, I’m able to help more during the weekday.

I use to be a nanny for over 10 years but stopped when I got a job in customer service. I loved working in childcare, I usually take the kids to the park and museums. We do science experiments, cook and have movie/video game nights. I also have experience working with children from my time at the Adler Planetarium where I ran birthday parties and taught kids through demonstrations and tours of the night sky. At the Peggy Notebart Nature Museum where I worked as a summer councilor with children ages 4- 8years old.

I have experience with caring for my sister who has sickle cell, aside from this, I do not have experience caring for children with special needs. Please note, as I do live in an immunocompromised house, I will wear a mask but do not require the family I work for to wear one in-turn.
