Hello! My name is Dana. I have been working with kids on and off for the last 20 years, starting with babysitting neighborhood kids on my block as a pre-teen, helping children with their remote learning during the first year of the pandemic, and providing childcare to a whole host of families since then.

I’m currently awaiting graduation from my Master’s program in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and intend to specialize in art and play therapy with children and teens. I know how confusing and distressing it can be for a kid to grow up and figure out how to navigate the world, and I try to be a caring and fun person they can go to for support and to learn tools to help them understand themselves and the world around them.

When not working, I like doing various arts and crafts (weaving, collage, drawing), playing guitar, and collecting sea glass and rocks at the lake. Spending time playing and exploring outside and doing arts and crafts are my favorite things to do with children as well, but I’ll happily join them in whatever they’re interested in!
