Hello!

My name is Eric, a 26 year old originally from North Carolina now living in Chicago, Illinois. I have been caring for youth since I started babysitting my young brothers and other neighborhood kids. Professionally, my first job involving children was as a lifeguard (my summer through high school). I taught swim lessons for children 5-12. After graduating with a Bachelors in Sociology from Appalachian State University (and some backpacking around Europe) my first job out of school was as an Office Manager for the YMCA. I worked on-site at an elementary school managing a team of counselors and a 100+ students K-5. I was the liaison between the school and parents and created lasting relationships with the participating families. After this I moved to Chicago, where I worked for Lincoln Park Preschool as a part-time, then as a full-time, teaching assistant. I worked with kids from 3-5 years old in this role. Before the closures due to Covid, I had started a new position at Choo-Choo Chicago, an in-home Daycare working with diverse children ages 16 months – 4 years. Now Im looking to bring this experience and love of youth to a new job! Im experienced with all ages of children and I have watching experience for those who may want tutoring. In all my Chicago positions I had food prep experience, CPR/First Aid, and a drivers license. I look forward to meeting you and your family!
