Hi there,

My name is Katie, I am 22 years old and I am currently studying early childhood studies at bath spa university UK, I also have a level 3 qualification in early years education and care, aswell as 4 years experience in working in nurseries, pre schools and primary schools, working with a range of children from the ages of 3 months to 6 years. Reports back on my performance was marked as “outstanding”.

I am originally from the UK, however I am currently spending the summer here in Chicago as an exchange student.
My passion for children first began in 2016 when I worked in a pre school for work experience at high school. I realised in my time working in this setting, I realised that caring for children and helping them to succeed was something that came naturally to me. I believe all children are unique and deserve to be treated as an individual with different skills, interests and needs.
I enjoy watching that light bulb moment when a child learns a new skill. To me that’s what teaching is all about!
