Hi! My name is Samantha and I am a college student studying Psychology at SIU, with a special interest in Child Development. I have previous experience working with children as a camp summer counselor and as a full-time babysitter. My strong suits when working with children include:
- Empathy and Compassion: Children are at an especially sensitive time in their lives where they need extra support and understanding.
- Patience: Working with children can be draining, patience is crucial when working as a nanny!
- Sociability: I am incredibly social and have a knack for making anyone feel welcome and included, which is especially important in children!
- Influence on Development: Since I am studying child development, I am aware of the developmental needs specific to children. Being able to act as a positive influence on a child’s development is incredibly fulfilling :)
