I’m a Ph.D. student in my second year at the Institute for Doctoral Studies in the Visual Arts. Throughout my studies over the last ten years, I’ve worked as a Direct Support Professional with adults with disabilities for several years. For years, I worked as a foster care respite worker, assisting children in reintegrating into their families. I’m an ally to people of all backgrounds in families and consider myself to be someone who advocates for a healthy environment for people of all ages. I include sign language basics for any families that want their kids to learn a second language. I am a sculptor and carpenter who received academic training throughout my degrees. I love art and work really well under stressful circumstances.
