I am the oldest of 10 children. My parents had me babysitting my siblings at an early age. I watched and fed my siblings, changed diapers and bathed the kids. I did babysitting while I was in high school and in college for pocket money. My siblings have asked and still do ask for me to care for their children. I do not accept money from my family members. I watch their children out of love and of duty. I am unmarried and have no children.

I belong to a church. One of the missions that our congregation supports is a church for refugees. I volunteered to sit for a refugee family while the parents dealt with an illness. This volunteer experience renewed my interest in working with kids.
