- Currently Relocating to Atlanta
I would like to tell you a little bit about myself and why I believe I would be a great fit for your household. I am a Berea College graduate who has always had a passion for working with children and I currently have my B.A. in Child and Family Studies with a specific concentration in Child Development.
While obtaining my degree I worked as a student teacher for the Berea College Child Development Laboratory. This afforded me the opportunity to gain three years of first hand experience working with children aged two months to ten years old while implementing the practices learned each day in class. I also spent nine months as a lead teacher in my own classroom of fourteen rambunctious and adventurous toddlers aged eighteen months to three years old!
After leaving my position as a lead teacher I began to test the waters as a nanny and found that it truly allows me to build on my passion for helping children be the best that they can be. I currently have a certification in First Aid,
CPR, Communicable Disease, Child Abuse, Parent-Child relations, and Reggio Emilia philosophy. I am also currently taking courses to become more knowledgeable in the Montessori philosophy. In addition, I have a copy of my current
ODJFS background check and driving history background check.
If you have any questions please do not hesitate to reach out and I will gladly answer any questions you may have! I look forward to talking with your family and working with you to ensure that your little one is competent, capable, and comfortable in everything that they do!
