I love working with children because it is incredibly rewarding for many reasons. Children possess a natural curiosity and are quite enthusiastic about what adults consider the little things in life. They are so full of life and happiness that it becomes inspiring and contagious in the best way possible. I find joy in fostering childrens growth, both academically and emotionally, and in being a positive influence in their lives. I have a vast background in working with children across various settings, which prompted me to become CPR/First Aid certified. For the past 9 years, I have been actively involved in working with children. I was in the Early Childhood Development program in high school, where I was able to work hands-on with children, ages ranging from 0-5, for all four years. While in college, I babysat for a few families. Some of the families had one child while others had multiple children, ranging from infancy to elementary age; regardless I showed an immense amount of attention and affection to all children. I recently worked in an elementary school as a Fourth-grade teachers assistant and paraprofessional but I was able to sub in other classes within the school which included Pre-K, Third-grade, and Fifth-grade as well. I believe what makes me different from other childcare professionals is that I look at the children I watch over as family. I want what’s best for them the same way their parents do. Witnessing their development and seeing them overcome challenges fills me with a sense of fulfillment that is unmatched. I strive to be a positive influence and role model to any child that I work with. My ability to connect with young children is unmatched. I am empathetic, understanding, and compassionate on top of being fun, nurturing, and having a carefree/creative attitude. Overall, working well with parents and children is extremely important to me while maintaining and creating a fun, safe, and nurturing environment.
