Hello, my name is Carlos! I am 24 years old and reside in Dallas, TX.
I have had many years of experience working in the child care/educator industry.
My high school offered a child care program that I decided to enroll in and stayed from freshman year to senior year.
My first year in the program, it was mostly like an introduction of child care, safety/precautions, dealing with emotions, approach, cooking, and getting us prepared to work with young children, etc.
My second year in the program, I was able to be apart of the day care that was attached to our school. I loved being able to be a part of the day care and helping them with small tasks, teaching them basic things, and cooking for them. This is just a summary on what I did there during my time, It was so much fun and I learned so much!
My third and fourth year, I was given the opportunity to be able to go out and be a student teacher for our feeder schools.. I got put into an 8th grade reading class with an amazing teacher that I still keep contact with till this day. I was able to learn how to do lesson plans, teach the subject and do one on one tutoring with certain kids that needed me the most.

after high school, I got some college in before having to transition to working full time sadly. I was going to school for secondary education.. I worked retail for 3 years and then transitioned into working as a teacher assistant at 2 different districts. I have worked with PreK- 8th grade and I’m currently working with Special Education kids in the middle school level!

I am also a cheerleading coach for the current school I work at, so i’m very active and creative. I have coached elementary, middle and high school students and have succeeded in competitions and other events.

Since I am currently employed, I am looking for something in the afternoons during the weekdays, I am usually am free on the weekends so I can pick up jobs with notice. I do have off holidays so I can be available during the summer as well!

I do not mind pets at all, I own dogs and have a family cat.

Rate: $15/hour – $50/hour
