My name is Keren Parra, and I am a 23 year-old graduate from North Central College’s School of Education and Health Sciences with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Health Science (minor in HR Management). I am currently working as a Multilingual Family and Community Liaison at North Chicago District 187. I previously worked at Lutheran General Hospital as a Patient Services Representative in the Cardiology department, and occasionally as a Patient Care Companion in the Pediatrics department. I am also a licensed substitute teacher for East Maine School District 63 elementary and middle schools. In addition, I am pursuing my Master of Arts degree in Higher Education.
I am a bilingual Mexican-American US citizen that can speak, read, and write both languages. I often take care of my two nephews (5 and 7 year old) and my niece (9 year old), along with a 10 year old boy named Sebastian ever since he was born. I am also a regular nanny to a 4 year old and 6 year old for a sweet family in Lakeview, Chicago every Saturday. When baby-sitting or nannying, I am responsible for completing tasks including cleaning, cooking, and driving the kids to a variety of places such as the park, school, and sport practices. I love being around children and find it easy to converse and have fun with them, no matter their ethnic background or age.
