My name is Abby Skinner and I am currently a senior at Saint Louis University about to graduate in May! I am studying physical therapy with a minor in nutrition and dietetics. My program is 6 years long and I have 2 years left until I graduate with my doctorate of Physical Therapy. I am 21, I am the middle child and only girl with both an older and younger brother. I am from from Evanston, Illinois where my parents still live. I have always loved to take care of others and I grew up watching out and caring for both of my brothers and many younger cousins. I have been babysitting for about 8 years now, and I have watched anywhere from one child to 5 at the same time. I have a family of 5 kids all under the age of 6 that I have watched for the past year when I come home to Illinois. I used to nanny for a 12 year old boy in the summer and have experience helping with anything from cooking, to sports practices, to doing homework. My younger brother is a type I diabetic, so I have experience helping with dosing for his food, watching his blood glucose levels, and knowing what to do if he goes low or high. I also can speak conversational Spanish. I took Spanish in high school and studied abroad for a semester in Spain.
