Hi! My name is Bethany, and I live in Evanston. I grew up here and am currently in graduate school at Northwestern. Throughout my studies, I have worked with children and youth in a variety of capacities. In specific, I have spent a lot of time working with children from Kindergarten-Middle school at summer-day camps & overnight camps. Additionally, I have volunteered in infant & toddler rooms at First Presbyterian Church of Evanston & Reba Day Nursery. My work with middle schoolers also expanded to the professional field, where I worked with Youth & Opportunity United In Evanston as a afterschool programming coordinator (before entering graduate school). Finally, I grew up nannying the same child from infancy to pre-teen years, which fostered a very close and rich relationship.
I have been CPR certified through August 2020, and am in the midst of renewing my certification. In terms of the above jobs listed, I have attended many comprehensive training involving meeting the academic, emotional and social needs of children ages 5-12.
If it’s not clear already, I love working with children. I have a playful and engaging energy. I am interested in finding a family that is looking for fun-loving sitter to care for their children in a variety of ways.
