I began babysitting my two younger brothers when I was 10 years old. By the time I turned 13, I was babysitting children aged 2-9 in and around my neighborhood. (and always being asked back!)

My professional childcare experience began October, 2012, when I became an after-school nanny for two children, ages 5 and 7. (Employed through College Nannies & Tutors) I worked with this family for one year and two months. Responsibilities included picking children up from school, supervising at playground, walking them home, cooking, cleaning, laundry and other household duties. I drove children around the city to after-school activities as well. I supervised and helped with homework daily. I prepared meals, engaged in active play with the children and stayed late to bathe children and get them to bed when necessary. Sadly, my school schedule interfered with nannying in the afternoon, so I took a year break from nannying to complete my degree. I returned to work for this family for another 2 years after graduation! I left this family in 2016 when the children were 9 and 11. (4 years nannying for one family!) I left because I wanted to enroll in beauty school.

Since then I have worked in the beauty industry. After COVID hit, I left my job and realized I wanted more meaningful work. Here I am in 2024 wanting to care for children again, as this is where my heart is!
