Hello my name is Melissa Serrano, Im 19 years old and I currently attend Elmhurst University as a double major in English Language Arts Secondary Education and minor in Intercultural Studies. Ive been a summer camp counselor for two years and Im going on my third year. Ive taught at a remote learning camp tutoring kids k-8 during the pandemic as well as art classes for infants. Ive taught in a preschool classroom in high school and I currently work at Lifetime in Oakbrook in the Kids Academy. Im in an education based scholarship program called Golden Apple where I will be working in scholar institute programs to become a better educator for children in schools of need.
