Hello! My name is Harleen Kaur, I am currently enrolled in Hofstra University getting my health science bachelor science degree. I am passionate about creating a safe, fun, and nurturing environment. I have 2 younger siblings that I have helped my parent take care of and watch over. I’ve also been reliable in watching my younger cousins and family friends younger ones. I have volunteered at a summer recreation program for an elementary school where I supervised and ensured the safety of upcoming 1st graders. I have also assisted with group events and provided a positive experience for children. I demonstrated patience and a caring approach when helping the children. I’ve also developed strong interpersonal skills working with a wide range of customers from Dunkin’ and NY Caffeine. In high-pressure environments, I can maintain a strong multitasking ability. I am very detail oriented making sure that routines and schedules are followed effectively. I’ve also been a part of the blue leadership program at Hofstra where I was able to focus on emotional intelligence and making ethical decisions. I am fluent in not just English but in Hindi and Punjabi. Overall I am proficient in managing responsibilities independently and collaboratively in different situations.
