I’m not sure “Babysitter” is the right term, but I felt it was the one that fit the best at this time.

I have been a public and private school English Language Arts and Reading teacher for last 20 plus years. I have worked with 5th through 10th grades, mostly. I have made the tough decision to leave the teaching profession and obtain a nursing degree. I love working with my students and derive great joy in sharing that passion with students (and hopefully passing it on!). My decision to leave the field of Education was not about the students.

I am very familiar with how schools are run and the different programs they use. Many are very similar and those I haven’t used, then I feel confident that I can learn quickly. I also have a Master’s degree in School Library and Information Sciences and worked as a school librarian for three years. I am wanting to use my skills while pursuing a degree as a medical professional.
