I first became a sitter is high school, it was my first job. I started out taking care of my little cousins, I dropped them off at school on my way to school and picked them up after school. Usually after we would do homework and chores, then dinner. At first it was an easy way to make money. I didnt really think much of it, I kinda just saw it as getting to hangout with my little cousins.Until I gave them my 2 weeks notice, my little cousins were so devastated that I was quitting because we were getting really close and I was helping them on things their parents couldnt, like sports, homework and crafts. Thats when I noticed how much I impacted their days. It really got me thinking about how much i contribute to their lives, that its bigger than just a regular job and thats when I knew I wanted to be a sitter. I really like the connections you get to have with kids, its really amazing how just sitting for them could really effect them. Also the parents, I know theyre busy and tired so I try to kinda make up for it by doing the best that I can to make sure their kids are satisfied and having a great time.
