Hi Im Kayla! I recently received my high school diploma and will be attending University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign for applied health sciences. I enjoy working out in my free time, walking my dog, Jacob or traveling during my time off! I love experimenting with new foods and recipes, you can always find me in the kitchen at home! Im also an avid reader and love to share my passion for books with children. I previously worked at Kumon, an educational program for students. I was able to support them in developing academic skills and confidence. Although at times it was challenging to teach a variety of children at once, it was very rewarding seeing their progress throughout the years. I would consider myself reliable and patient after years of caring for my younger siblings. I enjoy being able to incorporate my creative and fun aspects into activities for great engagement. I want to be able to connect with the children I care for and grasp the opportunity to make a positive impact on their life. I believe in the importance of education and will make sure to incorporate learning opportunities in our time together. Im also comfortable with meal prep and light house keeping.
