Hello! My name is Katya and I’m a senior in college studying neuroscience (but am currently working full time 9-5 until December). I have many years of experience taking care of kids and truly enjoy doing so which is why I choose to babysit part-time! I grew up with twin brothers who are 12 years younger than me and, ever since they were born, have helped my parents with caring for them. In fact, I was their sole “nanny” (on top of simply being their sister) all throughout their childhood. In addition, I have experience babysitting for family friends and neighbors back when I was in high school. All of that being said, I truly love working with children and have even considered a career as a teacher. I used to tutor part-time in high school (for science, english, and math) and really enjoyed being able to work with kids in that kind of environment. Nonetheless, I love simply playing with the children I babysit, making sure they always feel safe, happy, and satisfied; of course, this involves making sure that all their needs (as outlined by parents) are being met. I consider myself to be fairly calm and approachable and generally have great success befriending the kids I work with! Right now, I am just looking for something part time in the evenings (or anytime Saturday and Sunday). As I mentioned, I am currently working 9-5 but once I begin my last semester of classes, I will have more free time during the day.
