I have worked as a special needs therapist, nanny/tutor/caregiver interchangeablly in the past for 6 years professionally. Full time and part time. My focus primarily has been as an ABA therapist for children&teens w/autism& special needs spectrum. I’ve had a few adult clients with autism, but my focus has been working with children.

As nanny, I’ve worked for several families that had newborns, and I’m adept at helping new mothers, giving them a break, as well as taking proper care of a baby per mothers instructions. I’m aware of the need of a newborn, how to read signs of distress or needs they have. Caring for babies has been an incredibly joyful part of my professional life, even if it’s not my focus. I’m also good at caring for toddlers and upwards in age, and I can watch several children at the same time. I’m good at keeping children engaged, active, and fostering their imagination and creativity.

As educator (tutor primarily) I’ve tutored children/teens& adults in the English language (writing and spelling), test preparation and general grammar& composition. I’ve also tutored teens&adults in ESL (English as Second Language).

As a Special Needs Therapist, I’ve worked with autistic (and other special needs) children and teens primarily. This has been the main focus of my caregiving& educating field. That is to say I’ve had the most clients in this area.
I am certified in ABA therapy (that is Applied Behavioral Therapy in working with children&teens on the autistic spectrum, and I can design and implement programs to help them become more functional).
