The most rewarding and delightful job I have ever had, was nannying one toddler for two years in NYC. A close second was teaching kindergarten and second grade at the most prestigious all girls school in the city, The Brearley School. In summers between school years, I cared for a family friend’s infant daughter. I adore children.

I have been pursuing a career in television, as a director’s and writer’s assistant, for the past year. But not a day goes by that I don’t miss the company of little ones.

I would be thrilled to bring my enthusiasm, intuition, and love for kids into your home as a babysitter.

Rachel Ann worked as our son Nicos nanny for two years. We start with the most prosaic information because we hired her on an intuition that she would be an excellent nanny, and had little expectation beyond that. What transpired over the next two years comprised a set of revelations about this extraordinary young woman that exceeded anything that we could have imagined.
It is hard to describe the precise blend of qualities that makes Rachel Ann so special. She possesses a keen intelligence and insatiable thirst for knowledge and discovery. Rachel Ann brings her creative spirit and open heart to all that she touches, weaving her magic into every situation in which she plays a part. Not surprisingly, our son adored her and she quickly became a member of our family, which she remains to this day.
She loved our son as though he were her own, and intuitively understood his emotional needs and development in a manner uncanny for someone so young. We still consult her about virtually every major decision in Nicos life (not to mention about our own!), and have gained immeasurably from her insights.
The clarity and intelligence of Rachel Anns thinking permeates every aspect of her demeanor. Though it might seem like a superficial observation, our apartment was the cleanest and most organized that it has ever been when Rachel Ann worked for us.
When she left her role as Nicos nanny to assume a teaching position at the Brearley School, she remained an integral part of our lives. In fact, we have grown to love her so deeply that we made the decision to include her in our will as the person we would entrust with Nicos care should anything happen to us, an action that perhaps conveys better than anything else the degree of respect and admiration that we have for this incredible human being.
